RBC Center Roofcam
I like to periodically check the RBC Center’s roofcam and see what the crew is working on.

Most everyone has seen this one by now, but if you haven’t you have to watch this one.
Is that a leprechaun in the tree? Apparently several people in Alabama thought they saw one, and were the subjects of this hilarious video on YouTube.
Is there anyone out there so desperate for interesting news that they watch both the 10:00 and 11:00 news? I’m so pitiful that I’ll even watch practically the same channel!
WRAZ frequently has “live” field reporting, especially from Sloane Heffernan, during their 10:00 news. However WRAL also has live spots from the reporter. Both reports are graphically labeled “Live”, however close inspection reveals that the clip is the exact same report. Ever notice her signature, “back to you”? That keeps the clip generic and usable at later showings.
NO FAIR!! If they want to use the same exact field reporting clip, that’s fine. However it is dishonest for the latter showing to be labeled “live”. It makes me wonder if the 10 o’clock showing is even “live” at all.
Engadget is reporting that a new gen, “no-fee” DVR from TWC won’t have fully controllable fast-forward functionality without a fee. The standard models will feature preset fast-forward in preset chunks.
A friend gave me the heads up on this hilarious YouTube video. A guy unfortunately named David Thompson presents his case to the Charlotte City Council that a rogue helicopter pilot has run a muck. This is one of my all-time favorites and is not office friendly.Incidentally, there is a woman in Raleigh who speaks frequently to the council that she wishes for the government to remove the tracking chip from her uterus. I haven’t had the pleasure to catch her in action, but she just might we worth watching hours of meeting footage if she’s as funny as Mr. Thompson.
